Austria and Russia to our itinerary.
Please, don’t forget to travel downstairs to the
Reception Hall for our wonderful
Birthday Reception, where audience and orchestra
members mix and mingle over a
delicious cake from Stella’s, who by the way is
Greek, and sample some refreshing
punch, home-made by a vibrant Italian!
As we continue our Musical Tour, we will feature
rising, outstanding new performers at
our Annual Young Artists Concert on April 13th.
These fine, talented musicians will
perform works that will take us around the world,
including the Czech Republic, while
the returning Stone Ridge Junior Chorus, celebrating
their 25th Anniversary, will
swing us by Paris and America with their musical
offerings. Our final concert on June
8th takes us to the exotic setting of Ceylon,
featuring excerpts from Georges Bizet’s The
Pearl Fishers, as well as outstanding musical works
reminiscent of our previous travels. Capping off each of these concerts will be spirited
encores that will slip us into sunny
Spain and Italy for a rousing, fun finale, creating
the perfect ending to a perfectly

MISSION
The mission of the Trinity Chamber Orchestra is to be the
resident chamber ensemble of the historic Trinity Theater in Georgetown,
performing sacred and secular music from the Baroque to the 21st century
for the honor and glory of God, under the patronage of the most Holy
Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Trinity Chamber Orchestra (TCO) of Washington DC is a highly skilled,
thirty-six piece orchestra made up of dedicated musicians from the
tri-state area who love playing classical music and making that music
available to audiences of all ages throughout the Washington Metropolitan
area. The TCO performs music that includes works for the large chamber
orchestra and smaller ensembles where it is able to feature its fine
soloists. Under the expert direction of Maestro Richard Fazio, the TCO
performs four concerts per year on Sundays at 3:00 PM. The TCO is
chartered in the State of Maryland as a non-profit organization. All
donations are fully tax-deductable.
HISTORY
By the summer of 1999, the foundational work of the TCO was
nearing completion. That October a preview concert was performed in Holy
Trinity Catholic Church to introduce this new orchestra to the community.
The concept for our opening was, “A new Millennium – a new Orchestra!”
With the grace of God and much hard work, our dream came true. In the new
millennium, on January 16, 2000 the Trinity Chamber Orchestra performed its
first glorious concert in Holy Trinity Catholic Church to a very excited
and enthusiastic audience meriting a standing ovation at the end of the
outstanding performance.
Over the course of its seven seasons the TCO has performed a fabulous
variety of classical and new works. In addition the TCO has developed
several annual events; the “Annual Youth Concert” featuring some of the
areas finest young musicians, and “An Afternoon at the Opera” featuring
promising new vocal artists. Each January, audience members are invited
to our Birthday Concert complete with a reception after the performance.
Our last concert includes the winner of the conductor raffle who gets to
conduct the encore at the end of the concert.
